Paint the town- or the street in town anyway!
Kids lined the street in downtown Eatonton on Saturday May 9th for the 2nd Annual Steet Painting Festival.
This is Jaboc McCranie, he was painting a car that was in the Car Show that was just down the street.
I'll also includ a photo of the actual car, so you can judge for yourself, but I thought he did an awesome job.
It looked like all the kids were having lots of fun. I wouldn't have wanted to have to judge their work to award the trophies. I think they all deserved one. It was a nice day for it too, the weather was perfect.
Here is the actual car.
Other paintings photos:
Some had messages.
Some were out of this world.
Others were just down right cute!
Some were very beautiful.
There was something for everyone to enjoy. My daughter, Abigail and I had a wonderful time walking around and talking to the artists. There was also a varity of food available and a silent auction to raise money for the Putnam County Schools arts programs with all the budget cuts.
I hope this tradition will continue in the future.
