Jar DogDo you ever feel like this dog here trying to get your share of the peanut butter?

Working Hard These Days? Join The Club.

Maybe it is the economy cycle we are in. More time and effort for the same or less dollars. Don't know if it makes you feel any better, but you are not alone in what is going on. Some of it is the high level of productivity we have achieved. I make it a game sometimes to see if I can handle multitasking at the three or four times at once level. It is borderline insane. So much so you have to laugh at it. Of course on top of this is working with all the clients, coworkers and Associates that are not working as hard as you and the systems that frustrate you.

Phone calls not returned. Slow internet connections. A jammed Blackberry. An agent that doesn't know how to scan documents. An Active Rain social networking site that is loading slow pages for the day when you try to edit a blog. The world is conspiring to bring you down.

In all this my point to you today is keep it in perspective. Laugh early and often especially at yourself. The predicaments you find yourself in. The insanity of it all sometimes. The huge struggle doing something so simple can take on at times. Be persistent with your effort. YOU are BETTER than the grind. Remember this dog. He is after the prize NO MATTER WHAT. Peanut butter is worth it for that taste. Besides Mama told him not to get into the jar, and finding it on his own is even more sweet.

Do not get worn down by the world. Talk to others who are beaten constantly like a whip like you. Maybe it will drive you to drink. Or at least laugh together over a Margarita or root beer after 5 p.m. Hey, it's 5 o'clock somewhere as Jimmy Buffet said. Life is meant to be enjoyed. Even if you are working hard enjoy the effort. Those with the proper attitude can lift those others dodging all the arrows coming at us TOGETHER.

Give someone a cheerful word, a laugh or a smile today. You can even forward this dog picture on to them, and give them a laugh. Why? Cause it really isn't as bad as you might think. Just laugh at the world. You are better than anything it can throw at you. Keep smiling.
