If You're Not Selling Pisa's Leaning Tower, Why Are Your Pictures Crooked?

By

We've all seen them, and many are responsible for unleasing them on the world...

Yes, the crooked picture is everywhere!

Leaning Tower

If you aren't selling this lovely piece of history, then please take a second and do one of two things:

1. Use a tripod and level your shots

2. Use some image software and straighten out your picture!Straighten

(This is just from iPhoto, though most cameras come with some software of their own.)

This will be with the crop tool in your image editor and all you have to do is take a couple of seconds and adjust the level. It will make your pictures look far more professional and show that you care about the quality of your listings.

Hi Rebecca ~ Not sure what it is but I tend to take a lot of photos at an angle. Strange!  I try to rotate the more extreme ones.

Rebecca - This is a pet peeve of mine. I don't care for photos that make me feel like I'm going to tip over. It only takes a moment to straighten your verticals or level your horizon, and it can turn a mediocre snapshot into a fabulous photograph.

I think that everyone has a tendancy to shoot on an angle...think about how you have to change the car's rear-view mirror after someone else drives! But it just takes a few seconds to fix that horizon line. Thanks for the comments, guys and gals!
