For those of you not familiar with Belvidere, IL or even the neighboring larger town of Rockford, IL you may not know that contemporary homes are not the norm.  In fact, listings of $1.3 million in our area are rare as well.

I often admire the work of stagers who have the opportunity to stage loft spaces, modern homes,  etc.  That is why when Simply Staged Inc. was hired to stage this vacant 7,200 sq ft. contemporary we were honored.  We embraced the challenge of working with a different decor style and size of the project. This home was built to showcase art, so that is what we did.

Lots of photos below, but believe it or not it's not all inclusive.  So much more to see. . . exercise room, wine celllar, enclosed sun porch, additional bedrooms.  The list and the house goes on and on.

Small condos to $1.3 Million, traditional to contemporary, Simply Staged Inc. has the experience and inventory to professionally stage your home.

Hi Michele,  Thanks for sharing these photos!  Did you need to purchase some new inventory pieces for this staging job?  I like the way you have used artwork to break up the white walls and enhance the space.

Yes Diana!  Lots of new inventory purchases for this one.  We were very fortunate to have local artists donate some original art pieces, utilized some of the seller's pieces and I brought some pieces in.  Usually I would bring all the art in, but this home called for massive art so we took a team approach.

Thank you Shobha - I fell in love with the soft color of the master too.

Michele,

Wow!  I love what you did with this large space; loved the way you used black to anchor the different color schemes throughout the rooms.  The art you were able to use really worked and gave the splashes of color that beautifully set off the color schemes in each room.

I was wondering how you approached the local artists to contribute their art.  Were you able to give them credit/pricing on their pieces?  I've often thought I wanted to tap into our local talent for certain staging jobs, but have been a bit hesitant about how to go about it.

Could you please share?

Thanks for posting these great shots!

Mel

Wow Michele, what a great house and beautifully staged.  It really showcases the art in a special way.  Can't wait to hear how fast it sells!

Thanks Jess & Michelle!

Mel, the owners knew several local artists as well as their interior designer was an artist.  I know that is not much help for you, but I would post that question as I remember several stagers here on AR working with local artists.

Thanks Maureen!  This home is a showcase for art, so it was important we didn't ignore that opportunity and why we stayed true to the gallery white walls.  Certainly a "first" for Simply Staged.  We got the approval from the owner's licensed interior designer, so that made us feel good too! :)

Michelle, Isn't it fun to do something out of the norm?  We just did an urban/loft in Tempe, AZ and it was great to stage something different.  You did a great job as usual.  I love all your accent colors.

Did you change your name?  Something seems different.

Thanks Debbie.  Yes, it was fun to have a new challenge in both style and scale.  No, I didn't change my name - still Simply Staged Inc. :)  Glad to hear you just finished a fun project too.

Love the threads of color running throughout the home, tying one room to the next, to the next!  Beautifully done.  This "gallery look" styled home, was enhanced beautifully!

Aloha Michele,

Some challenging spaces to stage, mainly the great room, wow! Great job! The art must have been quite a production and it was smart to go at it from a team perspective. Hanging art is time consuming and very precise. It's especially nerve racking when your dealing with very large original pieces. Collecting and installing all those pieces is a full time job in itself.

Peace,

Thanks Cynthia!  It was fun using original pieces of art in this home.

Yes, Finally Annie.  If only there were more around here.  I actually enjoy staging many different styles, I just hadn't had the opportunity to stage such a contemporary home.  In the future, I will still admire your loft/contemporary work! :)

Thanks Cheryl!

Thank you Kimo!  Gathering the art was definitely a team effort.

Michelle, what a delight to see such a fabulous contemporary home staged. The artwork was "eye-catching". Was the artwork part of your inventory?
