Jeopardy winner - New Hampshire goodies arrived

New Hampshire Goodies from Ann

Now that that's over, let's get to the nitty gritty, to the core of this post. THANK YOU ANN!! I received my goodies today and will have pancakes tomorrow for breakfast to taste that delicious maple syrup.

For those of you that are clueless, Ann Cummings did an awesome 100th post entitled JEOPARDY, Active Rain Style - MY 100th Post!!. Ann was able to captivate us and engage us and I was the lucky winner - And The WINNER Is............. JEOPARDY Active Rain Style!! . So here's a take on The New Hampshire goodies I received. (I already shared a maple syrup lolypop with my little one). Take a look.

It only took me all afternoon and night to upload the video and now there's a voice delay - it reminds me of those old Japanese mvies

Ines - it makes the whole thing funnier - very cute!

Viva the QUEEN of Syrups...including Maple Syrup. That is hysterical Ines. Thanks for sharing and toughin out the upload. It is like a Japanese movie. Wouldn't it have been funny if someone shreeked - GODZILLA!

Ines, none of your posts are meaningless, ever. You are soooooo cute! Oh yeah, Nick is cute too =) LOL I am confused. Did Ann send this via Pony Express? didn't she mail this out weeks ago??

Beth - I almost gave up on that upload - but I am glad it worked out.

Chris - we had to record it a bunch of times because my little one would start crying or one of the kids would jump in or in one I said one of their names....it was pretty funny.

Maggie - you are so cool. Pony Express??? I think she sent Nicki Mississippi to go get it in New Hampshire! Hey.....I got it....that's what counts.

Missy - thanks...definitely fun and nice that THE NIXTER was around to join in.

Lenn - you need to hear it Lenn - Slick Nick is sooo funny - I'm glad you were entertained.

Ines- What's your You Tube user name? I have a large channel there. BTW, you have to convert to MPEG4 to get the sound matched with the video on You Tube :(

Lisa - it's MIAMISM - I created a new account yesterday and the rest you said was like chinese to me. How do I convert to MPEG4? (the video is 29MB and my DSL kept coming in and out and kept bumping the upload)

Was that Nick!?!?! OMG, that was funny! I had to do a double take!! You Florida people get to have so much fun together!! Thanks for that! (The delay did just make it funnier!)

Sarah - that was THE guest appearance! I had my 12 year old film it so many times and we would bust out laughing, Rick finally had to take over - Slick Nick came up with a funnier part every single time.

Sally - I did not crop the beginning when I ask Rick if he's filming purposely - that way his voice is there too. Where's ANN??

THAT was HILARIOUS!!! I guess "Rick" really does have a voice and isn't always silent! Terrific share...I like these as much as the informative ones honestly... :-) Don't forget to brush your teeth---maple syrup is full of sugar! LOL

Ines, after that I think you should show the videa of Nick trying to drown himself on water skis again........LOL

My neighbors tap all of the nearby Maple Trees and make their own Maple Syrup. They also set up a little stand and sell some of it to the public. We always get some and it is very good.

Susie - AHA! See....Rick DOES have a voice! You are so funny. (I think maple is ALL sugar) : )

George - The Nixter always adds humor to my posts - I should call him our sidekick.

Mariana - you should have seen the other videos, my oldest one filming and slick Nick snapping his hands saying "take 200", "take 201", "take 202" while I sat there laughing my butt off. Nick is definitely the life of any party.

Cyndee - Rick is the one with the sexy voice. NICK M has the best sense of humor and will make anyone laugh, but one secret, don't tell him I told you.....(no short jokes around him)......<SSSssshhhhhhHHH>

"...(no short jokes)" ... So I guess you won't be inviting Nick over for a 'short stack' to get a taste of that delicious New Hampshire maple syrup? Nice use of candid video, won't be long before you're videoblogging!

Great video Ines. And love the guest appearance by Nick "Duh" Appraiser. Have you guys adopted him? TLW and I have a jug of that syrup from Ann in the fridge and it is gooooooooood!!! Good job with the video. I am attempting to upload my first one on youtube right now. Just waiting on that sucka to be available. You are going to LOVE it. TLW in action:)

Hey Ines - FINALLY it arrived!!! That was not sent by Pony Express - must have ended up on TURTLE express!! Actually I was told it would be there in 3-4 days, NOT THE TWO WEEKS IT TOOK!

Most of those goodies come from 2 of my favorite local places - Lollipop Tree and Stonewall Kitchen. Both have made it big time, and both got their starts right here in Portsmouth. The Lollipop Tree people started out by selling their Pepper Jelly out of their garage just down the road from me. We used to by that jelly by the case way back when. Now they make all kinds of great goodies. The Stonewall Kitchen guys started out selling a few items here in Portsmouth at the local Farmer's Market - and then grew from there. They're now based in York Maine, about 10 minutes from me. I had a hard time trying to figure out just what to send.

If you like chocolate and mint, you'll LOVE the Chocolate Mint Brownies with the Chocolate Peppermint Sauce. That's also very good over ice cream. And of course, that maple syrup is really good - I have a jug of it in my own frig. That jub that comes in has some interesting history on it, about the company that makes that syrup and the historic country store where I bought it. I couldn't help myself with the Gummy Lobsters! After all, what would a package of New Hampshire goodies be without LOBSTER of some sort???

That video is funny! Rick certainly does have a VERY nice voice, and Little Nicky Pineapple was cute in his 'guest' appearance, too!

Ines: Okay, after having been playing in the ‘Rain since September, and having to wipe off my computer screen active rain|active codgers, your active fans ©2007 Codger Images countless times after reading (or in this case—listening to) a drop-dead funny post just after a sip of my organically & shade-grown, fair-trade, various fine blends of coffee, I was wise enough to place my the porcelain, not china, but made in China, Codger Collectible Mug down on it’s matching porcelain, not china, but made in China, Codger Collectible Coaster-Tile, and swallow BEFORE playing the video. That was sinus-clearing, screen cleaning funny! WELL DONE!

I totally forgot I had included that chowder - I don't care for chowder but they've won awards for their soups and chowders. We have chowder cook-offs and chili fastivals here, and Stonewall Kitchen comes out in the top rankings almost every time.

I'm back! I'll tell you it really stinks going away and having limited internet. Carole...LOL we've been all over the place! DC for the REALTOR conference, Vermont for training and Maine for fun. I've been so busy teaching. Very hectic. Now if only sales would pick up. My part of NH is still pretty slow. I think I'll move up by Ann...her market is busy.

Monika - there you are - I was sure you would pick up on that sooner or later. You just take it easy and do your thing, just don't disappear again for that long.

Ines, she speaks! lol Moni, it's never bad to go away and really a teeny break from the internet is probably good for the soul. We read all about your DC adventures LOL Hope fully the fun part of the trip was without mishap. Welcome back and I'm so glad the teaching is taking off so well.

Carole...How have you been? DC was a trip and poor Jay left his pants behind in the motor home...now that was funny!!! We just came home from Boothbay Harbor where we pigged out on Lobster. Yummy! I posted a picture of it for you.

Ines... I'd like to get myself one of those internet cards (air cards) so I can be connected all the time but we spend a small fortune every month on technology I just can't see adding another $60.00 to it just yet.
