9:38 pm placed property listing on Craigslist.....10:20 pm...a question from a potential buyer...this morning...3 more questions.

While it might be questions...questions can turn into communication...which can turn into potential buyers and sellers.

The more you circulate your listings the better your chances are into turning them into sold!

With all the hoopla and negativity circulating around Craigslist...do not discount the value! One of the hotshots in our office...gets most of her property inquires right there.

Do you use Craigslist and how are your results?

SHHHH don't tell. I post 3-5 ads daily on CL. I do get lots of hits and questions from CL. It has resulted in buyers and dreamers alike. It just another strategy of FREE ads that can pay big!

my little secret too. 100% of my tenants are coming from craigslist for the past 2 years now. Stopped me from waisting money on the news paper!

It's FREE and it's very popular.  These are reasons enough to use Craigslist.  And, yes, it does generate calls on my listings.

I get alot of negative results from Craigslist.  Alot of crazy calls, emails, etc.  But once in a while I have found keepers and deals actually came together.

I met one buyer 3 years ago from CL.  They were nowhere ready to but they were asking for help and patient.  They took care of business and today they are approved and ready.  I have another client who I credit soley to CL.  I answered the questions, blah blah blah, and over the course of 2 years they closed over 40 deals.

Hi Midori:

We hear so many negative things about Craigslist...

Keep us informed on how you do with this potential buyer.

I just started utilizing Craigslist, have received one crazy e-mail regarding a price on a short sale, but this post sounds positive!

Craigslist is a great tool when sourcing for new clients, leads for properties or tenants. I like utilizing Craigslist for sourcing for these types of candidates. I notice that when I post my clients listings on CL they get responses fairly quickly. I have found several of my own clients from CL as well. I think it is great I just wish we could track the usage or hits to our listings on CL.

Some of my Agent-Owners used Craig's  List successfully for real estate.  I have used it to sell furniture and successfully.  Midori --- I'm in Charlotte today for the REBar Camp ---- it is awesome.

I see the rental side of the business doing much better on Craig's List.

Midori, I put all my listings on craigslist. But, honestly I never get a call from it, I get emails where folks are trying to sell me something. I hate that. Good for you getting business from it.

Midori,

I've used Craigslist for a long time...it's free so it doesn't hurt to enter the listing there....but I don't get many calls for property for sale...it seems rentals get more calls.

I put my listings on CL, but I find that the higher end doesn't fly there.  Entry level and rentals do better.
