How about a wall of video instead of a wall of words for a change? :-O Did you know there are folks out there who have never heard of these networks and concepts before? These videos will hopefully enlighten those who have an interest in learning about Social Media Marketing and some of the tools and sites available for Social Networking.

Thanks Brad.  These are very much needed in my case.  Now I have no excuse for falling behind in technology.

Hi Angelia - this was actually a request by some new members from my last office presentation.  They had no idea about some of this stuff and I promised I'd post something about it.  The further along we get with social networking and social media, the more we forget that others are still beginning.  There is always a beginning for us all, but seems with all this new WEB 2.0 stuff, there will never be an end.  :-)

Thank you for this...am bookmarking and returning to view.    Always appreciate your advice and help!

No problem - Howcast.com has some well done and interesting "how to" videos, they have some pretty corny ones too.  I get an email each day with a new featured video, and some are definitely worth sharing with others.  :-)

Very cool application Mr. Andersohn.  Even though I know about Twitter, I still watched the video to see how it was presented.  Each video was informative.

This is great for the newbies.  I can use some twitter tips... so I am going to check these out.

8:38am • #14

Lisa - they do have some pretty cool how to's, last week I saw one how to make beer.  haha!

John - I used to try and do these tutorials myself, but the howcast videos are much better quality.

Jeff - Susan Reina and others from the WCR meeting last week asked for these, I hope they find this post.  I thought a wall of videos would be better than a wall of words!  lol~  I forget that some people have never heard of these sites and tools.

Paula - that's exactly what I'm gonna do for my future classes when I ask "How Many here are on FaceBook, Twitter etc.?" and I get that deer in the headlights look.  lol~  It's easier and more effective at times to present video at these trainings and seminars.

Matt - anytime. :-)

Nanette - This is here for you in hopes that it would have the opposite effect.  (Big Smile!)

Roland - thanks.  Do we ever really arrive?  haha.  Maybe there is no beginning and no end... too early for such deep thoughts....

Gabe - Howcast did a great job keeping these simple and professional.  The messages in the 2nd and 6th videos are my favorite.  Some people try to Social Network and Socially Market for months or even years before they realize and get those simple messages.

Everyone likes a movie (munching popcorn). Communication is not just words, its facial expressions, watching a politician squirm with a tough question, an instructor or teacher excited about what they have discovered, learned and are willing to share. They are visiable exciting, animated and can get the point presented better than just words. Gold star for Bradman.

Brad,  thanks for this great reference tool.  I'll check out each one as soon as I get a minute.  A/R has given me such good exposure that I've recently signed a contract to work on multiple episodes of an HGTV show, and my phone just keeps ringing with new requests for staging services.  I don't yet know how to use all those social media platforms or even understand them yet, but plan to get on board soon...thanks to fantastic help like this post from you and the other great staffers here at A/R.

Wow Brad, those were awesome but even more important was the Howcast.com connection that allows for lots more "How to" videos. That is a great resource especially in these times with so many tools available for so many different applications .

People learn in different ways, so it's great that there are video alternatives. The only downside is that my PC isn't always video friendly -- but that's also a great reason to go shopping!

Anna - to get copies of these, just click on the email icon in any of the videos, this will give you the link, the embed code, or the ability to send to someone in an email.  They can be viewed on Internet phones (ie: iPhone, Blackberry, Smartphone, TREO etc.), TV, or a computer.
