Real Estate Agent with Dean's Team - Keller Williams Realty Partners Chicago IL

Good Evening, folks!

Cold, chilly, rainy Chicago night!  Unfortunately, steady, temperate weather doesn't take hold here until early June, and is gone far too quickly.

Here is our Team Member Catherine Mallers' update on Chicago Neighborhood News for this week.  She covers the Chicago Neighborhoods of Portgage Park, The Gold Coast, The Chicago Loop, and Lincoln Park, as well as the Chicago Suburb of Oak Park IL.

Planning a Chicago or Suburban civic or cultural event you would like us to help publicize?  Just give us a couple of days notice, and we'll help spread the word!  Dean's Team offers the Number One Rated Active Rain Blog in Chicago and Cook County IL.

PORTAGE PARK

The old adage says, "The only thing in life that are for sure are death and taxes."  Normally we at Dean's Team would not talk about things this depressing but the Cubs fan in us just had to share this.

Bohemian National Cemetery, which is on the National Historic Registry, dedicated a brick interment wall this week designed to look like the wall in dead center at Wrigley Field.  The location has 288 skyboxes with lawn grown from Wrigley's sod.

LINCOLN PARK

Get your taste buds ready, there's a new Italian restaurant and Pizzeria in town.

Rocco's Café & Pizzeria opened this past Monday.  The cuisine is a mix of thin-crust pizza, sandwiches and house-made Italian entrees.   Of considerable note, this location  will be popular in summer with a 150-person outdoor patio.

THE LOOP

The CTA has been offering riders the option to locate their bus online so they know when to be at their stop.  Starting next week, CTA's bus tracker will now be able to send out e-mails or text messages with the same information.

You can subscribe to the service with a choice of specific routes and times to notify you.  There will also be another 20 routes added to the list beginning May 18th.

THE GOLD COAST

May is Med Spa Month.  You still have a couple more weeks before this great opportunity goes away.

The purpose is to introduce interested clients to local spas offering treatments at the nation's top medical spas.  Some of services being offered include microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser hair removal, Botox and more.

OAK PARK

Known as the home of Frank Lloyd Wright, Oak Park does offer more in architecture than one would think.

Oak Park is the birth place of Ernest Hemingway, and there's a museum in his honor too.  Touring Oak Park's architecture, though, includes the myriad churches just a few blocks away from the National Historic Landmark Unity Temple.

Dean:  Great informational post for all your ChicagoLand clients.  And yeah, it was chilly and cold here in Fort Worth today, too.  Only got up into the high 70's.  And... it is rarely muggy here... so that makes it quite nice.  Maybe I will ship some of this weather up to you.  Take care...
