It's All About The Purple Truck

I had a wonderful idea for a Blog. It was Inspired!

It was a normal day here in Concord, New Hampshire! I was on my way to an appointment. The traffic was very heavy.

While I was waiting at the light I saw a Purple Dump Truck making a left up the old dump road. It was the the only purple truck I had ever seen.

I wanted to follow him! I wanted to know who he was. I wanted to know why his truck was PURPLE!

Alas....I had to continue to my appointment. But, what I had seen gave me a headful of ideas for a Blog. A Blog about people and how they express themselves!

The Purple Truck was to be my centerpiece...later that day I called a few of the businesses on the old dump road. I figured someone must have known who he was! But it was as if he was just a "purple haze" of my imagination and I got no information....

I have been driving around the past few days with my camera in the car..."just in case". I have taken pictures of some other unique expressions. I have two more in mind I want to get and then I will write my Blog. But I still don't have the Purple Truck!

I know he's out there....I know he has a story! I have my camera ready. It really is all about the Purple Truck!

Joan: That's keeping your mind open to stories. I love it. Sometimes I wonder, when I see a house of an odd color, what the story is.

Hmm... very interesting. You have a picture of this purple truck though - or was this found on the internet somewhere?

Carol..The more I do this stuff I feel my minds eye seeing things differently.I love it!

Abraham...this isn't the truck I saw...when I do I'll put on a huge picture of it!

This could be the beginning of a New Hampshire legend. Here's an idea -- if you have a big mailing list (or even on your website), put a 'bounty' out on the truck ... maybe a $10 Starbucks card for the first person who can give you more info and a photo of it.

John...I love you! What a fabulous idea! It really has been driving me crazy not knowing...maybe I could actually find out who owns it and why:>)

It's just about time to do another mailer too!

You guys If you want a house of an odd color I have one on our street. I am afraid of taking a picture and posting it because she might get offended. The colors of the house are: purple, red, yellow, blue, green, and orange. I could ask her if I could write about her artistic visions and how she has displayed her talent for others to enjoy.

Mana...Go for it! You have nothing to loose by asking her. She may even be flattered. The worst she can say is no!

Joan -- It looks like the heat is getting to all of us -- I will keep a look out for the purple truck -- however, I want a gift card to PEET"S coffee -- it is the best! Stay cool!

That must be exclusive to YOUR part of the State..LOL

Joan, interesting! Was there no writing on the door of the truck as to who the owner is? Have you gone down the road he turned down that day to see where he (or she) went?

Back in CA there was a group of pink trucks in the 90s driven by ladies, talk about standing out! I think they were dump trucks too.

A perplexing quandary you find yourself in. The idea to offer a "bounty" was fantastic.

Maybe you should paint your car that color purple and use it as a your marketing vehicle. It could really help you stand out to the public.

Some 30+ years ago I used to be in Concord at least twice a week for work and I always thought there was plenty of expressive people there! LOL

I'm sure you will eventually find that purple truck. After all, there probably is not one parked in every driveway! Good luck in your quest. Keep us updated!

Thanks for jumping in Carol...I'm considering asking at the police station. I find myself peering into parking lots as I go by and it's getting a little dangerous since I tend to stear away from what I'm looking at! If I find it I will definately let everyone know. And that's the rest of the story.....

I actually did do a follow up" to this post. I just didn't want to overwhelm the group with too much stuff! A new, New Hampshire Legend

And I relly am still looking...but no luck yet!
