HABIT TWO: Be Courteous

Have you ever done business with someone that was rude?  Have you ever asked a sales associate at a store a question and you felt like you were bothering them? Do you have a co-worker that's rude to their fellow co-workers and clients?

People work with people they like.  The nicer you are to your borrowers the fewer phone calls you will get. They will feel confident that you have their best interest in mind.

If i have a co/ borrower who had a job, but recently lost in the past 3days, can i simply remove her off the loan since borrower still qualify with her income, even though i'd submitted it to underwriting with co borrower employer at the time? Could i just now make her a Housewife although she has signed off on all disclosure as a borrower?

Please Help

Thanks,

VM

VM,

Yes, you can just remove her income from the loan.  Give the loan officer or processor a call and let him/her know that you will not be using that income.  I would not go so far as to make her a house wife.

I have a newsletter I send out every week called "Ask The Underwriter".  The new series I'm doing for the rest of the year is called "Underwriter Sense..into the mind of the underwriter".  Shoot me an email if your interested.  I'll add you to the list.  I only send out 4 email newsletters a week and one course deadline reminder.  I also do not share my list with anyone....
