At a minimum meets the 2001 Florida Building Code or the 1994 South Florida Building Code or Does not meet the above minimum requirements or Unknown or Undetermined. The 2001 building code took effect on March 1st 2002. This means that any roof permitted after March 1st 2002 should meet the 2001 building code. A roof could have been completed after that date and still not meet the 2001 building code. Most times we assume that if it was permitted after March 1, 2002 it does meet the requirements. The best way to verify this information is to check with the mucipality on the permit date. If your inspector is marking unknown or undetermined it is likley that the information is unavailable. The paperwork/recipets would be most helpful at this point. Next time we will look at roof deck attachement, section 2 of the OIR B1 1802 form.
