I was intending on writing a localism post on some of the attractions and events in Middlebury, and it dawned on me that the nature walkways(?) would be an excellent topic to promote about the town...

Except, I can't seem to get any pictures of them, and I really don't know (yet) how extensive they are.

I do know that it starts right above Maggie McFly's on Straits Turnpike, then winds along the road(s) that lead to Lake Quassapaug.

How popular are they?

From what I have seen of them, they are beautiful and provide those who wish to enjoy the scenery a relaxing way to get some exercise (I have also seen bicycle riders using the trail) by doing some leisurely walking.

There is some info on-line about the trails at http://vvv.munic.state.ct.us/MIDDLEBURY/parksnrec.html.

If you haven't used the trail yet, take the time and do so. You won't regret it!

Hi William: Maybe you can find the trail on Google Maps - then snap a screen capture and change it to a jpg file.
