The weather is getting warm (hot) which starts my favorite time of the year...ICE Cream season!!! Sure, you can buy ice cream everyday at the super market. But nothing taste better than melting ice cream out of a soggy ice cream cone. That has to be the best part. I am not one to get the fancy smancy waffle cones dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. I like a simple cake cone. My family and I love to check out all the ice cream in the area. So I am going to share some of our findings with you. Please add you own. (Even out of state...we do travel)

My favorite is an Italian gelato recipe made in my own ice cream freezer. Chocolate or vanilla, either one is exquisite. Let me know if you are in the area and I will make some.

Thanks Steve, I was stationed out that way (Ft Lewis) YEARS ago. I forgot to mention Rita's Italitian Ice on Patrick Street... they have great Gelatos too...not as good as a homemade one I am sure.

Jennifer, My good friend live's in Riverton, WY. and frequents Denver, I will send him down... we used to have a family outings to the local ice cream joints on a weekly basis. I am sure he will give me an update on it. Thanks for the link..
