MLS Photos messed up

By

I'm not sure what our MLS is now doing to our photos. They introduced a new multi-photo upload application designed to make it easier to upload photos to the MLS system, in contrast to the older one-at-a-time upload for photos.

But there is clearly something wrong. The new multi-upload application makes all the images fuzzy. Strange. Here's the photo that I uploaded to MLS using the one-at-a-time uploader, and it looks almost identical to my local photo.

Now, here's an example of the Multi-Uploader doing its thing:

What's going on? There is clearly a difference in quality. I don't know the answer, but I do have a call into our MLS to see if they know the answer.

It's clearly not a file size issue or a photo dimension issue, as I resized it appropriately for our MLS (i.e 640x480 94k). But both uploaders resized the photo down, one to 51k the other to 59k.

You know, I've also wondered about this - why do our gorgeous photos always look worse after the upload?

I'll be interested in your MLS' response. It would appear that the new uploader is making size adjustments automatically and thus affecting the pictures resolution.

Kathy, I agree but I already resized them to the correct dimensions. Perhaps I should try uploading super large files?

The MLS says they are looking into it. I have not heard back yet. Interesting...
