10. Spring Park: Come learn where the "Denham Springs" name orginated at Spring Park. This park is located on River Road in Denham Springs. There is a trail which leads to the spring and then to the Amite River.

Creole House Musuem: an authentic Creole cottage that features artifacts relating to the French heritage of the area.Located on LA Hwy 16 in French Settlement behind the municipal building, the museum displays photographs and other records that document the history of the town. Also on display are early furniture, clothing, household items and other. The museum is open the fourth Sunday of each month from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. or by appointment. Admission is free. 13. Laser Gravitation Wave Observatory: Livingston Parish is one of the sites for the National Science Foundation's Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO). This prestigious research station, in collaboration with Cal-Tech, MIT and LSU, is at the cutting edge of gravitational physics research and laser technology. LIGO is dedicated to the detection of cosmic gravitational waves and the harnessing of these waves for scientific research. It consist of two widely-separated installations within the United States, this one near Livingston, and the other at Hanford, Washington, operated in unison as a single observatory..Tours of the facility are available on Fridays at 3 p.m. with no advance reservation necessary.
