Utah's New Governor

By
Real Estate Agent with Aubrey and Associates Realty

Utah's new Govenor, Gary Herbert is a Realtor.  This is great news for us here in Utah, to have an advocate for Real Estate in Utah.  Many people outside the State of Utah have no idea what I am talking about.  Our current Govenor, Jon Huntsman, has accepted the position as Ambassador to China.  This opens the door for Gary Herbert, our Lt. Governor, to become the new Governor.

The change of course becomes official once Governor Huntsman is confirmed by the US Senate for the post as Ambassador to China.  I for one welcome the opportunity to have a Governor that knows what it is that we as Realtors do to help the economy move forward, as well as what are our struggles.  Anyway just my opportunity to say Yay!  Make it a Great Day!

I think that would be a big boost for a Realtor to be a Governor and knowing that the housing market is key on the agenda.

Oh great, that means he'll never get off his cell phone, and he'll have his picture on his official 'I'm the Governor' business cards :)

I hear that the new state website will be created by Point2Agent, as well ;)

Isn't there some realtor somewhere that could run for president in 2012?

I've liked the way Obama has chosen people to fill appointed positions. It's encouraging.
