This is my second Blog entry and I have learned many things from reading Active Rain for the last few weeks - it took me a little while to understand what it was as have never blogged before, but I have learned tips to making my Homes For Sale look better, I have discovered how to post on Craigs list with a professional looking URL for free.  It seems in Real Estate - like anything -Knowlwedge is Power and the freedom with which information is shared is amazing here - just the fact that 5 people responded to my e-mail asking basically what this is about is incredible - they all gave great tips.  (Except the guy that called me a complainer, but what can I do???)

I have met someone who knows poeple I know in the community where I live.  And I am certain I have just skimmed the surface of what Active Rain has to offer.

Also I have a situation I am struggling with, I have a client who did not want to pay for the section 1 termite work - he wanted a better price, I had another inspection done and that one came in $1,500 more - IN FACT IT NOW HAS TO BE TENTED!!

Hi Catherine, Glad you are finding value in AR. The more you hang out the more you will be able to learn and share.

Also, I reread your previous Blog and Eric was not calling you a complainer he was agreeing with your statement about what you were expecting to find here and how you didn't.

It would be very rare to get a negative comment on AR. Everyone is very helpful.

Keep posting!

Welcome to our community!   Did anyone notice that we now are 6000 members strong and growing?

I've picked up my website here via a link from Jay Thompson in the forum. I've met a couple of mortgage lenders I plan on working with in the future. I've picked up some interesting tips from reading blogs and the forum posts here.

This community has given this new agent some new tools to help me in this business.

I couldn't agree more.  This site is such a wealth of information. It allows us to 'bounce' ideas off each other and ask for feedback and advice.  I am so happy to be on AR and thank everyone for being so receptive.

Congratulations for keeping at it. You'll find a lot of great people in this ActiveRain community and will learn a lot - hopefully we'll learn a lot from you, too.  It's a 2 way street.

Congratulations on finding ActiveRain and joining. I am fairly new also, and it has been a great experience. Lots to learn from the many professionals around the country who participate. Being active is important...and the more your blog the more comfortable you will be. Good luck with the termite situation - I have been through a couple of sticky situations myself.

Activity is good. And the lack of negativity is a plus ... it only took me 30 seconds to get flamed on RT. Up to three weeks clean and counting here. :-)

Welcome to AR.  This is a great network for learning and interacting with professionals throughout North America and beyond.  Active Rain-oholics Anonymous should be forming in the near future for when you join the rest of us and recognize that you too can spend far too much time on the system and still not seem to see it as a problem.  Everything in moderation :-)
