Old Dutch Village Garden Club Annual Plant and Bake Sale - May 22, 2009

The Old Dutch Village Garden Club annual plant sale is a great place to get plants for your garden, and the timing is perfect since here in Red Hook the advice is to put in your plants after Memorial Day.

This is a popular event since the plants are reasonable priced, they will go rather quickly so the trick is to get there early. Then after you have secured your plants go over to the the bake goods table and I know you won;t be disappointed.

The Old Dutch Village Garden Club help to maintain a several parks, gives a scholarship to a graduating Red Hook High School student, and each month offers an informative talk like this one on Bonsai

Location - Memorial Park across from the Red Hook IGA

Time - 9:00 am -12:00 pm

Jennifer sounds like a fun event. I need to pick up a few more plants for my home but my problem lies in the fact that I don't have a green thumb!

Jennifer, this is my kind of event, I could get a plant for the wife, and some goodies for me :) :)

Joan - Last year I did and will get more this Friday. I also contribute plants to the sale.

Lynda the plants are great, they come from the garden of people who really like gardening.

I could sure see me at that plant sale, and it looked like it had been raining. My type of weather coupled with a great event, yep I would like to be there :)

Jennifer, this seems like a very pleasant place to get your garden supplies. I'm fortunate enough to live very close to a farmers market with a great garden department.
