Debi, that is just absolutely gorgeous photo, love it.
~ Life is good
I knew you would have something pretty for us to look at today.......love the purple, and the closeup of the bee is fascinating.
Debi- Nice shot....love how you got the shot of him "busy" at work, and the wings are so translucent.
Debi, I tried to take a picture of a bee close up once. As I focused on the the flower, I lost the bee. The swelling went down about 3 days later...
Now that I've stopped laughing at Paul's comment...sorry Paul! Another beautiful photo...no surprise! I have been seeing alot of the big black furry bees with the yellow stripe. What's with that?
Hi Roy! Thanks!
Hello Ann, The flower his head is in is statice. It's a common dried flower for sale in places like Michael's and Hobby Lobby. I remember having some in an arrangement years ago.
Hey Kathy! Thanks - yep, he was going for it for all he was worth!
Oh Dear, Paul! And where exactly WAS the swelling? Nevermind... I was got stung in the palm of my hand 5 times by a yellow jacket before I was able to open my hand and shake him off....those puppies are FAST!
Hi Sharon, I know - Never know what we're going to hear from Paul! Black furry bees with the yellow stripe I believe are the 'bumble bees'.
Debi
S/he is beautiful! The statice (I think?) s/he lit on is equally pretty, love the vibrancy!
Great colors,....that little bee seems to busy! I love the colors very rich.
Thanks, Jess
Debi,
I enjoy the close-up photos you take. It make us realize the beauty that the naked eye can not see. Great photo!
Debi,
He is really into flowers!!!
Ann
Hi Cheryl - The worker bees are all boys! (Why don't our lives run like bee hives?) Thanks for visiting!
Hello Jess - Thanks, I'm glad you like it.
Hi Gerry - I have seen things thru my lens that I would never have known about. I'll have to share what the inside of a dandelion looks like! Very cool!
Yes, Ann - He sure is! Literally! LOL
Debi
Debi what a great pic

Thanks Lynn & Debra! I appreciate your comments!

Hi Debi! You, my friend, are incredibly talented! I always look forward to your WW's and SS's as I KNOW they're going to be photos that bring pause.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day!
Hi Buddy....just wanted to stop by and say hi and wish you a wonderful Memorial weekend. I'm away all next week and I'll catch up next weekend. Have fun without me ;-)
Thanks so much Debe! And I always appreciate your comments!
Hey Gail! Have a wonderful time - and I'll try to have a good time without you - but not sure it's possible! Be safe - let me know when you're back. Love Ya -
Debi
Hi Debi - another fantastic shot! I love the colors and clarity of that little bee. They are fantastic little creatures, nice to see one so close.
Beautiful shot, Debi! These guys can be hard to catch but you got him with his nose in the "feed bag".
Hi Mary - I liked the colors in this shot too. The color of the statice was so rich. The bee couldn't have cared less that I was 'in his face' !
Hi Mike - I love your analogy, Cowboy!
