Are you or someone you know a first-time homebuyer? This is anyone who hasn't owned a home in the last three years or someone who has never owned a home. If this sounds like it would apply to you, now is a great time to get moving, make the dream of home ownership a reality, and take advantage of the first-time homebuyer tax credit. As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Congress enacted legislation providing a tax credit of up to $8000 for first-time homebuyers.
To take things even further, Idaho Housing and Finance Association (IHFA) worked to develop a way to help first-time buyers take advantage of this tax credit up front rather than waiting to receive their credit after they've filed their taxes. The Association's efforts paid off and now first-time buyers are able to make their dream of homeownership possible by using the new Tax Credit 2nd Loan through IdaMortgage, brought to you by Idaho Housing and Finance Association.
"The new loan offers assistance on the front end of a purchase, when it's most needed," says Susan Semba, IHFA homeownership lending director. "It's such a good time for first-time homebuyers to buy right now, so we hope this loan hel[ps them act quickly and take advantage of the current market."
To learn more about the Tax Credit 2nd Loan, give me a call. I would love to help you find out how to take advantage of this wonderful program before it disappears on December 1, 2009.
