I notice there is a lot of movement on agents between companies, kind of natural when things get tough, however are they leaving because of the wrong reason. ie they blame the company for their failure?
I am writing because a husband wife team left our office for another company in town. Now this is no great loss because i am not sure they closed a deal in 2 years.
Now you could say we didn't offer them enough, but we would take exception to that. Keller Williams has incredible training, resources, and a culture of help and support. Yet they never came into the office to take advantage of it. It makes me soo frustrated.
But if you can not even come in to the office and find out home others are doing it. I would surely show anyone! and you can't get off your duff to find a lead, then you can go to another company.
When I asked why they left it was because the company offered them leads. Wow a company giving (make that selling at a hefty commission) leads
My thoughts:
- if you can't convert your own leads, why should i give you my good leads you can't handle them.
- how many people can the company offer that to?
- why would an agent be beholden to a company to receive leads? Oh i just answered that one above.
What do you think? Am i being hard on these people?
I have followed the Keller Williams systems and worked them (if not faithfully) I am a far better agent than i ever could have been at my old company. I DO NOT NEED TO BUY LEADS FROM MY COMPANY.
I'd love your comments.

Guy,
I owned a business and made a killing selling leads to auto, health and life insurance sales people, real estate agents and other industries as well. But I have to tell you that I agree with you. A person can buy as many leads as they want. If they don't know how to work them (or just don't work them at all), it makes no difference.
I would not even bother getting frustrated. They weren't bringing your brokerage in any money, then it is no big loss. It is a learning experience though . . . develop training (if you don't already have it) to teach people how to generate their own leads.
We have leads every day. New leads every single day from all sources. It's no excuse.
That's just my personal opinion. :o)
