Wall Paint For Movies and Videos

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Preferred

A recent technology column in the NY Times had a section titled: "Paint Your Walls for Movies" in which it discussed what is the best paint and colors to paint your walls so that you can use it as a screen for projecting movies and videos.Movie Projector with Screen

According to the article, there is special paint you can purchase that has been formulated to maximize the color, brightness, contrast of images that are projected onto it.

The difficulty is finding what, if any, local paint dealers stock the paint and what is the best paint and color for your situation, as the colors vary from grey to white, depending on the projector that you will be using to display the movies or videos.

Two resource sites that provide online information about painting your walls for use as part of you entertainment center...

I see that Sony now has a new screen that is paper thin and can be rolled up.  When that technology hits we can put it on the wall and not need a projector.  That depends on how expensive it will be of course.
