Hungry for another vacation after working seven days a week for a few months, I've been perusing pictures from previous vacations, as a means to stall the imminent "burn-out"...

Last year I visited Thomas Jefferson's Monticello in Charlottesville, VA.  It was on my list of places to visit during this Lifetime.  I was not disappointed.

Monticello gave me a much better understanding of Thomas Jefferson, the man.   Here are two videos on the subject; one professionally done, the other, of my own visit there last summer.  Enjoy!

What a multifarious man Thomas Jefferson was.  He knew seven languages.  He was an intellectual and a gentleman farmer.  Monticello is imbibed with his essence.  If you haven't experienced this lovely place, you should!

Robert, I am so burnt out! I am taking a few days off this weekend and turning off the phones and computers. There is no more of me to give! Monticello is very soothing; maybe that's why I gravitated to that vacation... You should visit!

Mirela, that was wonderful! It has been years since I was there, and I should go again.

Please take care of yourself, good idea to take the weekend off!

Hi Mirela, I really enjoyed your video - I will have to go there - another place to add to the every growing list.  Thanks for sharing and enjoy some time off - everyone needs and deserves a little bit of that!

Mirela, we also visited Monticello last summer. Too bad we didn't visit on the same day! I totally agree about the place and the man. I bought a book on Monticello and Jefferson since so much of himself was wrapped up in building Monticello. He was a genius, forward thinkier. Too much to say here but I agree totally! Want to go back.

Now, turn off the phones, your computer and do not think about real estate for at least a couple of days. You have earned a rest. Frank also looks at travel photos when he's feeling burned - I caught him looking at a booklet about Montreal a few days ago...

Mirela, thanks for that. I've been a fan of Jefferson since 3rd grade and look forward to visiting his home. Enjoy your time off.
