Yes, I’m asking for your financial help. Feel free to say no, ignore this blog post, etc. If you are compelled by this story then please visit http://www.adogforcolton.com to understand the Ruscetti family’s goals with this campaign.
Colton is a 3 ½ year old boy who suffers from autism. As a result, crowds, loud noises and things we see as simple tasks are all very unnerving for Colton. The family is asking for help in raising the money needed for a specially trained dog to aid Colton. In some ways similar to the ways seeing eye dogs aid their blind “masters”, a specially trained dog can greatly help the development and ability to adjust to situations of an autistic child like Colton.
Please visit http://www.adogforcolton.org for information about the live auction to be held in Dallas, ways to contribute if you cannot attend the auction, and other information. I have known the Ruscetti family personally for 2 years and they live a block away from me. This isn’t a “stranger” request or a scam. Personally, I have nothing to gain here as my wife and I have already donated auction items and already feel great about knowing we are helping out these friends.
Please consider joining us in helping Colton.
