It's nice to have folks looking out for you.  I pulled over to take a photo of a house last week in a new home community in Purcellville that I was going to show to a buyer Friday.  I was "stroking" the builders' reps, letting them know that I was planning to bring a buyer in Friday and wanted to send some photos to his wife who is still in England.  I love to visit new home sites BEFORE taking a buyer in to tour the model.  Loudoun County real estate is fun to sell because new home builders have lowered prices and our buyers are going to be in very good position when prices start going up again. 

A Loudoun County Police Officer pulled up behind me and stopped.  I thought I'd better not drive away at that point.  He walked up and asked if he could help?? 

"Thanks officer, but I'm a real estate broker just out taking photos of the lovely homes in the area."

"Oh, a real estate agent" he said.  The subtlety of agent/broker is largely lost on the public, but no matter.

He wished me good luck, commented that clouds are forming so I'd better get the [photos] fast, smiled, walked back to his vehicle and drove off. 

Loved it.  We do get some respect.
