In Three Weeks.....

In three weeks, I'll be back in and getting serious about starting my new career in Real Estate.

I thought these four months I would be able to concentrate on getting everything in order....not possible with a baby...I completely forgot about 2AM feedings, burping and changing diapers!!

So I decided to just look around and see what is out there...well, I finally got dial up last month and it takes forever to go from one place to another, nothing like cable, where I can have mulitple windows opened at once, so I read less than I had planned to.

But I think I have someone to build my website and assist me with all the web based things. I got my license plates....C NANCE and my web site is www.callnance.com . Other than that, there is nothing much I can do without a broker.

So when I get back, I start looking. With all the Internet technology, does one charge for desk rentals anymore? or do they just call it office supplies? I can't imagine why anyone needs to go into an office with computers, wifi and air cards.

I hear AT&T is coming out with a mini laptop next month for 99 dollars and you can get the air card for 60 dollars a month and make that your virtual office for real estate....I'm going to look into that.

Plus my iphone has so many applications...does anyone know if I can get MLS on iphones too?

So I am entertaining a broker...so all you Ocean County NJ Realtors who think your agency would be good for a beginning, leave me a comment and I will contact you....

Get rid of the dial up. Get a Verizon air card...you can go anywhere with your lap top and show properties if you can access your MLS on line.

In my opinion, I would go with a larger company rather than a small one, as for instance. RE/MAX and Coldwell Banker are advertizing on TV. The smaller companies are hurting right hnow.

You can go to Point2Agent.com, I'll invite you to the site if you would like and build a website there. It is not that difficult. I think the website is free for the first year and for basic it is $9.95 a month...You can get a professional site that offer's more options for more money.

Secret here: I fed my children at 6 weeks...diluted Gerber's oatmeal with some formula and they slept all night...I was also bad as I put some unflavored gelatin in their apple juice...they're all graduated from college and doing great. I go by the saying, "When a child is hungry, it must be fed." Not every 2 hours either. My children were all athletes so that powdered Gerber's oatmeal didn't hurt them a bit! Good luck.

Good luck, Nancy. I'm really into technology, but I still value my office and meeting colleagues regulary. If things go to virtual offices, as I think they might, we will need to find some other way to may the connections with each other that are so helpful in doing business.

Well I'll suggest Keller Williams again. Talk to Tom Wissel at the Ocean County Board of Realtors. Once you join the Board he'll let you know how to get the apps for your phone...MLS, supra etc. Tom's at 732-244-8111.

I am living in Naples and traveling back and forth to Princeton, just got back last week. I am retaking my brokers test and really have to get back to AR and blogging.

Who listed your house in East Windsor, hope you worked ourt a referral to yourself.

I knew very early on that I was not the daddy type, so I can't testify to the joys -- or burdens -- of raising children. My thoughts and best wishes are with you, though, because, like my wise old grandmother said, "Someone has to do it!" I think she was talking abour raising me, though -- LOL.
