Honor Fallen Heroes in Salisbury NC this Memorial Day

Memorial Day is the time for Americans to remember and give thanks to the men and women who have died while serving our County in the military service. If you live in the Piedmont of North Carolina and are looking for a place to pay tribute this Memorial Day, you may want to visit the Salisbury National Cemetery. This facility serves veterans in a 23 county area of the Central Piedmont Region of North Carolina.

The historic section of Salisbury National Cemetery was established by Confederate authorities to serve as the burial ground for captured Union soldiers incarcerated at the prison in Salisbury, and is located at 202 Government Road in Salisbury.

The Salisbury National Cemetery Annex is located behind the William "Bill" Hefner VA Medical Center at 501 Statesville Boulevard in Salisbury.

Let's not forget to honor all who have served and are currently serving in our Nation's Military Services on this Memorial Day!
