Amazing Buy Owner! Don't people realize they pay more up front fee's than they would a standard commission with a real agent?

It amazes me that the Buy Owner advertisements on TV present themselves as a better site for seller's than a real estate agents offerings.

Buy Owner charges fee's based on what the individual sellers choose. In the long run...I have found that seller's pay more for options they are afforded than they would pay if the used a REALTOR(r) and were charged a standard fee for a listing...which is usually 6% - 3% for each side.

The sad part is...these customer's pay upfront fee's for their services then end up (after no success selling their property) paying a licensed real estate agent for their expertise.

Add up the fee's my friends, then weigh the pro's of having a licensed agent with buyers to help you.

Is it really worth the fee's you pay, the service you might or might not receive? Why not use a REALTOR(r), after all, we have leads, buyers, resources that are not being afforded to you.

How much are you paying up front? Are you seeing any responses to your sign (if you have one). Can you contact the person that listed your property?

Is the price you are paying less than 6% of the asking price of you home...Did they give you a free CMA (complete market analysis) so that your home is listed appropriate to the recent sales in your neighborhood?

Yes indeed. It takes about 10 seconds to find lots of unhappy consumers with this company and others like it. They don't 'get' what goes into a real estate listing and that they are now paying for all of it and more.

It is amazing to me the number of people who chose to sell their homes without hiring a good realtor. They are only hurting themselves in the long run.

You are so right. Every time I drive by a house with a Buy Owner sign, I cringe when I know what they do to people/customers we should have.

Thank you for the comment. It is totally rediculous in my opinion that people do not understand that they are "had" by the "Buy Owner" listing...if you try and call the company...unless you say you have a buyer...no one calls you back. The owner's should try and call...they will learn really quick.
