One of the most famous and respected of the song writers of the rock era is Bob Dylan. He has been called a poet and a spokesperson for his generation.
Whether you like Dylan's singing voice or not, there is little doubt about it that he is a legend in a league with few other living performers. Dylan wrote contemporary protest songs and music that connected with the mood of the country and the world. His songs often had complex lyrics, even confusing lyrics, and the songs were overflowing with social consciousness and sometimes revolution.
Once again we have another wonderful opportunity for you to tickle your memory gland and to find out just how much you really know about Dylan. You will be asked to select the most popular Dylan written song of all time. This is Twin-Pick.
You know how Twin-Pick works. It is a quiz that self-corrects. If you click on your selected answer, and you are wrong, one of my cadre of obnoxious and rude cyber assistants will humiliate you in the privacy of your own computer. Do not take their scorn personally as they know how to do nothing else except how to give the Bronx cheer. Everybody hates them. On the other hand, if you select the correct answer, you will be taken in my time machine to see the original artist perform the original hit. By the way, I do requests. If you have an idea or a theme for a stories behind the music or a twin-pick contest that you would like to see, send me an Email or leave the idea in your comments below.

Charlie,
You are suppossed to play the contest, not bury yourself in the graphics. What are you doing up by the way. You are about two hours earlier than on your average day.
Jeez, I got three tongue lashings before I got it right! Not up to par on my Dylan trivia!
I once was Mr Dylans bodyguard at a large fair in San Diego. He wanted to ride some of the rides before his concert and it was my job to keep him safe and sound from autograph seekers. A pretty nice guy!
Steven: I just went with the pick that I thought was the most "commercial" way back then. I went with Mr Tambourine Man... by the Byrds. I like the song, but back then I was more into Peter, Paul and Mary. Although I liked PPM better... my guess was that the Byrds, being more commercial... would be the biggest hit. I loved listening to your Byrds clip... thanks so much.
What about Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower?
I'm going to go with Forever Young.
Richard,
Hendrix is not close to one of Dylan's biggest recordings. It came in at #17. If you click on the potential answers, you will find out if you are right or not.
My first instinct was the Byrds and I didn't follow it. Got two wrong before getting it right.
I never would have picked this one...not that I don't think it was a great song but my neighbors in college played it non-stop until I was sick of it.
Ugly, ugly little critters that I saw about 4 of!! But the black and white reward was fun once I got there.
That was before Crosby left the group. Great music. It pretty much had to be the Byrds.
