One of the questions I get often from new clients is, "Can you fish around here?" I say, "Even through you can't fish in Lake Arrowhead Lake (unless you live IN Lake Arrowhead and have Lake Rights, there are MANY other local spots to toss in your line and hook up with some trout or bass. Below is a list to give you a good idea where you can go "Catch the Big One!"

LAKE GREGORY; 909-338-2233. Rent paddle, motor or row boats. Catch: Trout and Catfish

GREEN VALLEY LAKE; 909-867-2009. Rent paddle or row boats. Catch; Trout

SILVERWOOD LAKE;  760-389-2299. Rent Pontoon and Aluminum boats. Catch; Bass, Trout or Catfish

BIG BEAR LAKE; 909-866-5796. Rent a variety of boats. Catch; Bass, Trout and many other kinds.

DEEP CREEK; This is a WILD TROUT STREAM.

Things to remember:

  • CALIFORNIA FISHING LIC' required.
  • Limit, TWO fish
  • Minimum length, 8 inches or loner
  • What to use, ONLY artificial lures and flies with BARBLESS hooks
  • NO BAIT OF ANY KIND
  • YOU NEED an Adventure Pass to par your car in our National Forest.

Kat,  How is Lake Silverwood these days?  I haven't been there since the summer before the fires of was it 2004 when so much of that area was destroyed?  I'd love to go back there and visit it again.  It was great for canoeing.
