Memorial Day is truly a day to celebrate our young men and women serving our country!

We recently traveled to Chicago to celebrate the graduation of our number two grandson from the naval academy in Great Lakes.  He wants to be a navy seal.

It was a special experience, and I wanted to share a few photos along with patriotic music to honor him and all of those serving our country.

Teri - As a 23 year Navy veteran I am always proud to see the fine young men and women graduate from Boot Camp there at the Great Lakes Naval Station. I wish your Grandson the best of luck during his Naval career.

Teri - You must be so proud of your grandson.  He is a very special young man and I applaud him on his decision to further his training as a Navy Seal.  My nephew graduated back in January from the Naval
Academy in the Great Lakes and is now stationed in Jacksonville Florida.  Please give my heartfelt thanks to your grandson for his service.

Jeff, you're never going to let me live that one down, are you? ;-) I've answered every call nicely since then - much to my chagrin at times.

Thanks, and so glad you enjoyed the tribute. ;-)

Teri,

Of all your posts, this just might be my favorite one of all time!  How sweet!  Love the video with such great pics that show so much emotion!  I know you are proud of him and I know he must love you very much, too! I'm so glad you shared this tonight.

Teri, No question that is a grandson to be proud of.  This has been an emotional Memorial for me as our son just got out of the Army.  His Army experience has given me a new appeciation for Memorial day.

Teri,  Congratulations on this achievement of your grandson.  My son is a cadet as West Point - the military academy.  I am always awed by these young people who choose to serve our country and put their lives on the line for us in a time of war.  God bless your grandson and your family!

Teri, it is an amazing experience isn't it.

I was there twice last year, once in February and once on Memorial Day last year.

I cried, was so proud of both boys and the history was so incredible to learn.

Let him know I am so proud of him.

Marchel, We are proud of him....and this helped show him just how proud....;-)

Vicki, we live in such a different period of time don't we? It seems that everyone has someone in the military. I, too, am in awe for the service they render.

Missy, I remember your awesome post about your boys. Thank you so much....

HI Teri!  What a cuie pie he is and how proud of him, I KNOW you are!  I loved the photos--and the music.  My brother graduated from the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs and the ceremony just gave me goosebumps--my father was in the Air Force as well, so, I had no choice but to be patriotic.  So, needless to say, these things always give me goosebumps and make my heart swell!  I know you had a wonderful time and that your heart is just filled with pride too!

Janna, how could I not be proud....nervous, but very proud. ;-)

Teri, you're welcome. I enjoyed putting this together. ;-)

Cheron, not only am I proud of him, I'm also proud of his mother. ;-)

Debe, I agree....so young, though. How very special that your dad was in the Air Force and that your brother carried on the tradition. How very, very cool....;-) My uncle - now in his 80's - was a Lt. Col in the Air Force. Amazing man. ;-)

Hi Teri,  I'm a little late watching this video, but I remember we conversed about this on FB.  My brother, now retired from the Navy taught at Great Lakes.  (in the 90's, I think)

That video is awesome, I watched it three times.  Congratulations to your grandson and thank him for serving our country for me.

BTW, your son in law looks like Brian Brady, are they related?
