Of course we do...we have to present all offers...and of course, the seller can accept, reject or counter any short sale offer ...just like sellers do in traditional offers.  If the offer is half the asking price...we have just killed a tree for nothing....too much paper writing offers no one would ever dream of taking...too much time wasted...tooo much of everything but reality.  There is a rumor floating that sellers and banks will take ANY offer....oh not.

If you are a short sale buyer.....and are buying a home with an experienced short sale listing agent (look for the CDPE after their name) and know that taking monster discounts will aasure you of a counter offer...If you recognize that you are getting a good house at a good price...know that you have gotten a good deal...you have saved someone from foreclosure and there is no reason that you shouldn't live happily ever after....and that is the Long and Short of buying a short sale !

I think all too often people get the words "short sale" confused with "fire sale". I am with you that buyers know when they get a great price on a home; some are getting amazing prices on homes but counter offer form is readily there, and it really is best of buyers to put their best foot forward when they already are getting a deal.
