JUST ONE MORE THING TO LOVE ABOUT TEXAS!!

Chances are you've never used one, but all this month some of the prettiest outhouses in Texas are on display in downtown San Antonio . The " Thunderbox Road " art exhibit is going on at the Menger Hotel. There are 12 full-sized "Thunderboxes" or outhouses painted and decorated in true Texas style.

Sonja Howle with the Thunderbox Road exhibit says it "was created to pay tribute and showcase the talent we have in the Hill Country artists."

In February, the exhibit will be at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. After their tour, the outhouses will be auctioned off to benefit medical research and the Western Art Museum in Kerrville.

I bet the one Donna has outside her window aren't as pretty as those in downtown San Antonio. Only missing one thing..air condition...I'd say gets a little hot in there if you spend more then five minutes. I think #4 is my favorite with the flames shooting out.

Alice- When I was a kid my grandparents had an honest to good ness functioning out house in their yard. As a little kid I thought nothing of it. It was not as pretty as these though.

No, it's not as pretty, but it is currently a nasty orange color! The company switches out the color every week or so. It was beige.

Side Note: As a Home Inspector I thank God I have never had to inspect one!

Its been many many moons ago, but I have used many a real thunder box, in the pass.

I sure do like number's 3,5, and 8.

I did an inspection of a home last year, that had a three seater in the family room. I sure got a real hoot out of seen that one. Inside the home of all places.
