Recently one of my online friends was saying that she had a hard time sitting still and just "being". Sometimes  location is the culprit, and sometimes location is the answer.  Sometimes it's hard to just sit and "be" with the TV or radio blasting, kids running around, and family and business demands needing attention.

But when we change our location and get rid of the distractions it's easier to find peace. We can sit and just "be" enjoying the world around us while harvesting the strength of nature. It's all about desire, location, and commitment to self.   Serenity comes from within, however location is an important component to being able to sit still long enough to find that calm.

Kathy,

Beautiful photo and that is true, finding a place without distractions, a wordless place, can be a wonderful place to find perspective.

What a beautiful photo, Kathy.  Where was it taken?  Certainly not Riverside County.  I think I could just "be" there. :)

Kathey that is a beautiful shot.  I would find that as relaxing as watching my fish swim around.

Kathy, I would have to know what kind of plant that is before I could sit still and be.

Hi Kathy, I totally agree with you, I think the location definitely helps in finding peace and tranquility we all crave and need --- some have mastered the art -- but most of us are easily distracted and need some extra localism!  Gorgeous photo, the colors are just beautiful!

Kathy, I love the photo and the thoughts.  It does take a peaceful environment to feel fully peaceful.  For me nothing works like certain places in Central Park...btw, isn't NY your very next destination??

The water is always a winner...the rhythm of the waves and beach air is always recentering...I'd love to buy a houseboat---and get the tax credit. Cheers, Kathy :-)

Hi Kathy, A gorgeous photo. What beach? Love the words and the location does have so much to do with it. I have this particular vision I think of when I want to unwind of laying in beautiful soft green grass along the water edge with large trees hanging their bows low and the sunlight and shade fighting for the same space in total quiet. Peace

Kathy,
Right you are!  I cannot sit still for very long in the house/office but on the beach........ahhhh, I could sit for hours well, if I didn't have to chase the little one, I could!

Well as all of you probably know AR was having some big issues yesterday.  It took me forever to get this posted, then couldn't get in here to comment.

Thanks everyone for the comments, this was taken in Encinitas, CA.  As to what the plant is I don't know....never saw one like it before but I was out shooting trying to get different pictures of blue and rust contrasts.  This appeared close enough ;)

My serenity has always been Nature....and as so many of you have said...it is yours also.  So enjoy your day, while finding somewhere for your own serenity, you're worth it!

Katy - It is so true that the following saying applies to more than just real estate. The sentiments you conveyed through your words was the perfect accessory to the photo.

Its all about "Location , Location , Location"................
