Meep meep, chirp chirp. Excuse me, how about some worms please? Yummy in my tummy!
Hi Kristin:
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
We had finches outside our front door, already out of the nest and gone!
Last year we had a family of robins nesting in our yard. This year we have a family of Swallows making a nest and getting prepared for the new arrivals soon. Funny to watch. Alberta, Canada...
Sweet.....I noticed a bird in my yard picking up pieces of things for a nest, but haven't figured out where the nest is yet. Seems to be in my Bogenvia bush.
TOny, good one! You always have something cute to say!
Toula..awwww, that is cute too! Have never seen baby finches! I came home from the animal shelter just now and all babies have flown away :-0 I hope they are safe and healthy!!
Terri, you are so lucky! Mine just left this morning, but I had a blast watching them grow!!!
Karen, I hope that you get to watch them too!!!
Howdy sweet lady-You got hubby trained real well. <SMILE>
Hi SHaron! I do have him trained well....UPDATE---birds flew away this afternoon....sad!! I will miss them!
You were lucky that momma let you approach so close to get this nice piture. Thanks
Caron, I didn't take this photo...I mentioned I found it online b/c I could NOT get close enough to ours :-)
Hello Kristin,
Enjoyed your post! I also enjoy watching the birds in our yard too! I love it when the downy woodpeckers (the males) bring the babies to our suet feeders. Also the bluebirds! Have not seen any babies yet this year. I keep looking out for them! Thanks for sharing your cute story!
Rita
Rita, thanks....sounds like we are alike on the bird watching/baby stuff too! That is neat about the woodpeckers...I see them, but never the babies! When i was at the animal shelter today, I saw another baby robin's nest! Now I will have to look after them too! :-) Take care
Kristin, Last week my grandson and I found a nest with eggs in a tree in our alfalfa field. He got real excited. The other day I was irrigating and saw that they had hatched so we invited him to dinner last night (he's 8). During the course of visiting I encouraged him to show his mom the "eggs". They walked out there and lo and behold ... they had hatched! He was really escited. Their mouths were open, but their eyes weren't. Fun evening.
Awww...Jim, that sounds like quite the learning experience!!
