14 Comments on Do you prefer succinct blogs...or can you read all the paragraphs?
I like the short powerful direct blogs sometimes I lose track reading the long long blogs.

Me too, when I click on a post and I see more than 3 paragraphs, unless it is a tutorial on something that I want to bookmark, I move on.
I'm like you...it's late, I'm tired, but I do love those succinct posts. Thanks for posting.
Long or short, I like to see them broken up into small, 'digestible' paragraphs.
If the topic is something I'm really interested in or find particularly valuable, it's OK to be a bit long. Otherwise, less is more. I think the human eye can only take in so much at a time . . . :)

I agree, after a long day... I can only read "digestable paragraphs" and if they are over 150 - 200 words...I move on. Not because I don't like the topic, because apparently if I clicked on it, I'm interested...however. If it's a short, to the point blog...I will read and reply.

I don't even mind long posts...if they are well written and have paragraphs. I hate it when they write and write and have no breaks in the action. Just me
Hi Karen, I agree about not making blogs too long cause you want to get the point out of it. Tutorials on a tech topic may need to be long but most don't. Well written often times means briefly written.

I agree, it almost becomes a blurrr... I like the short succinct blogs...that way I can read and comment and learn on more. Thanks for posting.

Exactly, that's why I love to read your blogs...they area succinct, and for those who don't know what that means (no offense) to the point. Thanks for posting...now get back to that blog you wrote...it's going, and going, and going.... :-)
Totally agree! I try to break mine up with lots of spacing and photos for just that reason.
I think this is exactly why sites like Twitter have become so popular, they force people to try to get their point accross in 140 characters or less. The ones who are successful are the ones that get the business.(You will also notice when you click on their links their posts are shorter also, they have learned to say it quicker and in less words because of Twitter)

I wish I was good at placing photo's, they never end up exactly where I put them to start with, but a good idea.

Good point. I have 160 character's on my cell phone and when I cannot get the message across in that amount of time, I think it requires a phone call.

Good post. I like posts of under 200 words, and have read - and even written - several under 100 words. :)
