I lived in Houston when construction in Kingwood was booming in the late 1970s and early 1980s. I got to watch a friend's house being built out there, and I convinced him to let the builder let us in after hours to wire the house for stereo speakers. The King Ranch, headquartered in my home town of Kingsville, Texas, used to own the land that Kingwood sits on. Humble, Texas, was the namesake city of Humble Oil and Refining Company, now Exxon, and there was a lot of oil and ranch money flowing through Kingwood back then. Probably still is.
Say hello to Laurie for me. How do I know your wife's name is Laurie? Oh, I'll just let you figure that one out. LOL
