With over 80% of buyers looking on the Internet to determine what house they want to see in person, using the Internet is a MUST!  In addition to having a listed home on your company's site, you might also list the home on:

Anybody use these or others? Please share your experiences! Oh, and remember: If you are going to list a home online, have it staged first! Great photos are the number one reason an Internet home buyer continues to look at the rest of the information concerning the home.

Hi Teri

Also, you can show your sellers ALL of the sites they are listed on.  For example our local board has ALL of it's listings on several sites, as does Realtor.com, Postlets, etc.  All in all, often by listing our listings on about 5-10 sites, we really have coverage on 35-50 sites, we print out this list and show it to the sellers and they are blown away!

I use zillow and some of the others. I think I've gotton more referrals from other realtors than anything on zillow though. I am with ERA so all of my listings feed directly to trulia, in fact I didn't even know that until yesterday when I contacted them about feeding my listings to their site. They said because I am with ERA they are automatically fed. But I definitely agree with you. More and more people start their search on one of these sites. The only way you are going to be found is if you are there. Happy Selling.

Janie - Great marketing tool!

Thomas - It can't hurt to list your homes as many places as possible just as you said. If you do, you are going to have "happy selling."!!!

I agree the more places you have the listing posted the better you are marketing the house. And definetely have it staged first. Have great photos to post to attract the buyers.

Lynette - I was just talking with a realtor today that said there is no "one place" anymore to list on the web. You have to list multiple places to be seen. And as for staging first - right on!

I highly recommend using Craigslist.  I've had great success using the site myself, as do others whom I referred.

It's FREE to post. visit www.craigslist.org.  Once you find your area, you will see a section for "housing".  Under housing you will find "real estate for sale".

It's a great resource for listing properties, advertising your business, and buying/selling items.  I've actually found some great deals for my staging inventory on Craigslist.

Hi Suzanne - I've used Craigslist a bit, but it doesn't work well for home staging, or at least I haven't found the right way to make it work! I'm glad you've had success with it and passed along the tip.

I use Postlets.com and it allows you to post to about 10 other sites such as Trulia, Craigslist, edgio, backpage.com etc. and use lots of pictures.
