This is a great adage to live by in these tougher real estate times. Just look at what your favorite restaurant puts on TV or in their print ads...it's not just an ingredient list, but they sell the JUICY, TENDER, DELICIOUSNESS that their steak has. So...why are we not doing the same thing? We give ingredient list, after ingredient list to our potential clients filled with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a beautiful kitchen and we don't get their emotions involved!!
Just think if instead of a 'particulars list,' you gave them an EXPERIENCES FOR THE SENSES list...
Just imagine, waking up on the first frosty day of Autumn, ready to head out catch the first glimpse of the season's biggest elk. You wiggle your toes out of their warm bed, in your spacious master suite and see that first light is still a few hours off. Quietly, you cross the wide-plank, 100-year-old oak floors to grab your first cup of coffee. As you walk into your kitchen, the pre-dawn light is just starting to glimmer off your stainless steel appliances and your built-in espresso maker is just kicking on....
Can you SEE it?? Do you FEEL it?? How would your buyers like to read or hear THAT when looking at one of your properties??
We need to put OURSELVES back into our marketing efforts!! Ask your sellers, what do they love, yes love, best about their home. Use their stories to get the buyers hearts involved from the instant they come across their property. Sell the SIZZLE!!
