Finding an Accountability Partner

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Fran Rokicki Realty, LLC

Keeping track of your progress is key to our business of real estate right now.  Are your tracking your numbers, daily?  Tracking your activity and interaction with your clients and customers?

I am so fortunate to have a Coach who really does keep me going and going.  Though, to hear it from him, I am coachable") and there lies my true success.  Well, if I am told that doing certain habits and exercises everyday, will make my life a breeze and success will find me, of course, I listen to my Coach!

Another person to have on your team to help you through the year, would be an accountability partner.  It needs to be someone who knows you and understands your life as a Realtor:)  Maybe, even, another Realtor!  You talk or meet once a week and go over your goals, your business and in general, your life.  It would be an exchange between the two of you.  You could meet for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  Walk or go to the gym together.  As long as you encourage and help eachother, it becomes a good partnership.

Find someone that you know or admire and talk to them about being your accountability partner.  It does make you do more, because you become competitive with yourself by trying to account to someone else:)  I laugh and encourage my buddies and they, do the same for me.

It's a Good Life,

Fran

Good post Frances, I will take your advice about an accountability partner and share it with other realtor associates.

Good idea, we do that kind of informally but it is good to have someone to answer to.

Hi Fran.  You are quite the go-getter, aren't you.

Probably a great idea.  This career can be lonely.

Sometimes it feels like it is us against the world.

Always good to have someone to talk to.

I am in total agreement with Fran!  I'm not sure what I would do without my coach...on so many different levels I'm held accountable.  As much as they are business coaches, it impacts all areas of your life when you take action and review your goals consistently.  On many occasions, as Ken says "it feels like it is us against the world" when you have a coach or accountability partner, you're never alone!

It's a good life!
