One Wrong Turn & Look Where you End Up

By
Home Stager with Redesign Etc. Home Staging Incorporated in TX

Today while driving home, I decided to make a detour and go to a store that I needed to go to. I've only been there once and it was probably 10 years ago.  But on the way I got a glimpse of this huge concrete thing.  What the heck was that.  So I had to check it out.  Down this warehouse district road was a concrete manufacture that made well... concrete people.  I've seen some of these heads along I-45 not too far from downtown Houston, and the Sam Houston statue that is 67' in Huntsville, TX.  This place had what looked to be all of the Presidents heads, and a band in the back.  Is that the Beatles?  Either way, these things are gigantic, that's a huge warehouse behind the band.  I just had to snap some quick photos.

Aww, was curious and did some research, they are made by a company called Sculpturworx and the sculptor is David Adickes.  These are going into a Presidential Park in Pearland that plans on drawing 2 million people annually.  They are 18' tall.

The Beatles are 7000 lbs each and 36' tall.  The Beatles statues are being  moved to property Adickes owns on the south side of the freeway near the Shepherd exit.

Those are quite interesting.  I might be alarmed to run into a giant stone head in the park, but who knows!  I like the band.

Wow, those are awesome.  It's a good thing you didn't happen upon them at night, though, that could have been spooky!

Howdy there Cindy

This sure was a real good find, you came along. The band sure does look to be the Beatles.

"Houston Home Staging Pros"

Richard-Thanks, was pleasantly surprised to come across it.

Dan-It is going to be on the south side of the freeway next to Shephard, I'm not sure if that would be I-10, I think so.  But in Houston.

Chris-That is not an area I would have been exploring at night, yes they would be creepy.

Trey-Well, you could tell your friends to look for Ringo, and they'd find your house.

Sharon-Isn't that the truth, and I do end up in some crazy areas at night, darn GPS, is not always accurate!

Donna-They were, they had doors in their shoulders, wanted to get more pics, but was afraid I was going to get run out of there.

Dale-It is, I confirmed that.  It almost looks like the Beegee's.
