Agent on drugs....  Yeah, the slurred speech, the lethargic glassy looking eyes and the sweat dripping down her face. She tries to hold her composure through the last two showing appointments of the day. She manages to fight the bronchitis symptoms in front of her clients for the past three days. Antibiotics, cough medicine, the dreaded inhaler and the whole nine yards.

Let's not get into the slimey details of the fever, clammy, stuffiness, nose blowing snot dripping on the one kleenex tissue she had in her purse; with body aching, dizziness, lungs gasping for air and lifeless body limp with no energy that goes with the bronchial infection she drags through signing a contract on Thursday night.

My head is dragging on the floor and I can barely strike the keys on this keyboard to get my post in on ActiveRain.

In fact, let's spread around those details with the good news that comes with this agent on drugs........I received an ACCEPTED CONTRACT last night!

I'm going to go rest .....after I make a few comments.

Darn addict.

Woohooo on the feature, now there is good medicine!

I remember (vaguely and thru a fever induced haze) I got a listing one time when I was sick as a dog. I had such a high fever I really didn't remember a thing I said, and the amazing thing was a got the listing. I barely made it home, passed out cold, and had to call the doc the next day for some drugs. About half way thru the next afternoon I remembered I got the listing.... race to the computer to put it on.... what very odd. Like a dream...

The things we do. :D

I hope you feel better.

Darn -- I was expecting to see an agent in handcuffs -- like that broker in SC who was stealing a former agent's signs.  Oh well...I can only imagine what a long few days its been, but any business in this market is a good thing.  I broke my ankle right before some relocation buyers came into town and I was in a lot of pain, crutches, etc., and I showed them 50 homes over 3 days -- my wife drove and I only stayed on the main level until they found the home they wanted, then I scooted on my rump up and down the stairs to ensure I viewed every aspect of the home.  Oh the sacrifices eh?

Sally.  We can't stop because, if we do, we are out of business.  Or, we at least lose a large amount of money through a lost sale.  Ours is a business that doesn't run itself.  We are the money makers.

The only thing that really "puts me down" is an elevated temperature.  If my temp goes up, I take to my bed.  Thank goodness, I'm very, very healthy and it rarely occurs.

Or, perhaps I'm just so old that I've got immunity to just about everything.  I suppose that's good news, bad news.

You should be feeling better by now.

Woo Hoo, Sure hope you are feeling better. You might consider a herb remedy that really gets to the heart of whatever is attaching you. Try 4 drops of Oil of Oregano in fruit juice or water. The aftertaste is like a big meal iof Italian food. It will knock out whatever is atcahing your system.

Now for the post. There is something in your post that adds yet another level to our self employment , independant contractor status. Most people who are not self employed at the first sign of even irregularity might take advanatage of staying home and not working. Being self employed, most of us  have to fight through what ever most others would more easily give in to because we don't get paid no matter hw hard we work unless we get a contract to close.

With so many recently attaching our profession from the lofty high chairs of professional dedication with its gauranteed income and benefits to match, should try walking a mile in our shoes and they might learn a thing or two of about dedication and what it actually looks like in practice.
