Have you updated your Trulia profile?  If you are a real estate agent and you haven't, you might be missing the boat.  I know I was...

I just created my Trulia profile last week.  It was very easy.  In a few minutes you can download your photo, add links to your websites and blogs, and claim your listings.  Once claimed, the listings become "branded" with your information.  It's pretty cool...

Although my listings are automatically placed on Trulia when I enter them into the Keller Williams Listing System, I never really "worked" the website.  I will now...

About a week back, I received an email.  It was from Trulia.  They said they had a referral for me??

Dear Ken Tracy,

I was searching on Trulia and found your listing. Please send me more information on **** **** *******, Chicago IL. - looking for a quick close - Thanks  *** ********

I called the customer.  They wanted to see my listing and one other.  No problem.  I showed them the homes, and now they want to write an offer on my listing!

I thought they liked the other home.  That shows you what I know...

I might just have a happy buyer, a happy seller, and a nice paycheck...

That is a win, win, win.

Thanks to Trulia.

Have you updated your Trulia profile?  Don't miss the boat...

Ken

Hi Heather, Amber, Kerry, Scott, Exit, David, and Sharon.  Thanks so much.

I will have to become a Trulia Pro next.  That's when it starts costing money.

Glad I wrote this.  So many are bringing up features that I don't know about yet.

Thanks again,

Ken

After reading this, I went to Trulia to update my profile and found I didn't have one.  How did I miss that one?  Anyway, thanks for the nudge... I'm there now.

Ken...thanks for the advice.  One tries to participate in so many marketing platforms (especially all of the free ones) but at times misses some key ones.  Thanks for your post!!!

I LOVE My Trulia. The blog is easy to post on, Voices is great exposure and it is simply  agreat site period. I have had several closings because of my profile and just got 2 new buyers who researched me after a friend referred me to them and found my profile and blog on trulia. I can't say enough about the site, Superb. I love the "price reduction" search.

Hey Ken:

Good suggestion here. I am on Trulia but haven't updated my profile recently nor explored what else I could be doing. Just one more thing to add to the list. I know a number of folks who have gotten leads from Trulia, and closed deals.

I too use Trulia, but be very careful of how you use this portal.  You should look to see how they use your info and listings to get their Portal to rank higher.  They do not let your URL or Pages show up on their searches.

I have looked at a really like Trulia, but so far to date, it doesn't appear to accept out of country content. Unfortunate as Canada is the most wired country in the world and in the virtual world geography shouldn't matter as much! Here's hoping I can join the cast of thousands soon...

It can be overwhelming trying to keep up.

But we keep trying!:)

Hi!  Thanks for the information on Trulia.  I have known about Trulia for a long time but just have not had the time to take advantage of it.  It looks very interesting and sounds like another good tool to use in our toolbox.  I will add it to my list of places on the internet to be out there on.

Sincerely,

Phyllis Katz, Weichert Realtors, Marlboro, NJ  - please look for me on www.PhyllisKatzsellshomes.com, and facebook.

Ken- While agents may use some sites in their daily lives more than others, I think it is a great strategy to at least take the five minutes and set up profiles where ever you can.  You never know where the next client is going to be searching and having all these profile can potentially help your SEO placement when the links are followed. Just another arrow pointing back to you, your lisitngs, your website, or your blog.

Hi Phylis and Sara.  Thanks for stopping in.

Everyone should certainly have a profile on Trulia (and Zillow too!).

It is free and can lead to business...

Thanks again,

Ken
