To give an update on our SEO experiment, our AgentsOnline site which links to the discount page for the RedX lead generation system is now number eleven on the google search for the agents online term.  Three weeks into the project and we are making progress.  Real Estate Country is still lagging behind.

In my search for backlinks to improve the rank of the site, I ran accross a new tool, and an old friend (well, actually I am just a fan.)  Anyway, for the new tool, I found the site tumblr.com  If you are not familiar with it, it is a blog creation site, very similar to sqidoo that has a very high Alexa ranking for any page that you create.  Establishing a blog is very simple, as is entering in your RSS feed from your active rain blog.  Essentially, it is a great tool to create some additional visibility and good backlinks to your website.  Yes, I know it is yet another blog that you need to maintain, but this is all a part of online marketing.

Oh, for the old friend..... I used to read Mary McKnight's blogs religiously.  She has some great insights on the fundamentals of online marketing and has a particularly high level of competence in the field of real estate.  Anyway, her and her friends can now be found at Sacrilicious Marketing.  I know many of you are familiar with Mary and may already be aware of this site, but for me, it was great to get access to her as a resource once again.
