Apex,North Carolina, a tiny suburb just minutes from downtown Raleigh, is a great little town located in the Southwest portion of Wake County. Known as the "The Peak of Good Living", Apex has grown to nearly 30,000 people, but never forgot the small town charm that made it such a desirable place to call home.
Incorporated in 1873, Apex was named for its location as the highest point on the Chatham Railroad line which ran from Richmond, Virginia down to Jacksonville, Florida.
In keeping with its rich tradition as one of the oldest railroad towns in North Carolina, Apex’s Chamber of Commerce building is a renovated model of the original train depot.
Residents of Apex used to have to go to neighboring Cary for much of their shopping needs. But the recent creation of the Beaver Creek Shopping Center has put a halt to that. With nationally recognized stores, restaurants and even a multiplex movie theater, the Beaver Creek Shopping Center is as busy as can be.
In 2007, CNN/Money magazine voted Apex 14th on its list of the nation's top 100 small towns to live in! Award winning schools, medical facilities and our great weather just go to prove that Apex really is the Peak of Good Living!
So, if you’ve been thinking about relocating to the Raleigh/ Cary/ Apex area, send me an email or drop me a line. I’ll be happy to answer your questions and help you in the quest to find your new home!
