SEO is not Brain Surgery - But who's got the Time?

Services for Real Estate Pros with First SEO Consultants

I keep hearing the same thing over and over - SEO is not difficult - well at least for those that are not technologically challenged.  Even if you can figure it out through study and reading great posts like that of Brad Carroll, and constantly emerging SEO Tips of the Day - which I put out frequently - but the bottom line is:

Who has the time?

Realtors, Real Estate Brokerages, Mortgage Lenders, Home staging companies and more all hire web-marketing pro's to increase their organic ranking (SEO) and to build and manage their pay advertising (SEM) - among other services provided - for many reasons, but the most important of which is to free up their time so they can actually handle the increased business resulting from better search engine placement on the organic and pay-per-click (SEM) side.

Why try to wear all those hats when you most likely will get overwhelmed and not be as efficient?

I do agree with you to some extent.  Though I have learned a lot of SEO through AR, I really haven't had the chance to implement much of what I've learned!

Thanks Michael. Well said. Real Estate Agents don't have to be SEO experts - That's where you and I come in. Though it is important that Agents know enough of the basics so they can avoid being taken to the cleaners.

Michael, When you get a chance, you should do a "show to choose an SEO company" post. I think it would be helpful to everyone at AR. It would also be helpful to people like you and me so we can get feedback and know what people are looking for. Let me know if you want to tag team on it.

You are right...technology can become your master and not your servant. If you spend all of your time trying to get technology to go the wrok than what are you missing by being in the real world meeting people and putting your face with a name so people know who to call.

That is my issue, balancing the face to face and the internet.  There is never enough time!
