Playground for the Kennedy's - and no, its not what you think.....

You may have been thinking - Palm Beach, Hyannis, Las Vegas, and a bunch of other places before I even mentioned Acapulco, but Acapulco was THE place the Kennedy's went to play back when it was just a little fishing village.  What's really awesome about Acapulco is the cliff diving.  Divers jump from cliffs and it looks pretty death-defying, indeed.  Acapulco is one of the legendary places to visit in Mexico.  Although other resort towns like Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Cozumel have attracted millions of tourists every year, Acapulco will always be an American favorite.  If you've been to Acapulco, and you'd like to share your experience, please do so, and write a review and share pictures.  Your entry will be part of the Viscape travel writer contest where you have a shot at winning a trip to Belize or Key West.  I had dinner with a friend of mine tonight here in Washington DC out on Washington Harbor, if you've ever been there, and I was sharing with him about places I'm dying to visit.  I'm going to write a multi-part series about Mexico and Central America.  Between the ruins, the beaches, and the culture, there really are some incredible, must-see places to visit.  So stayed tuned.......
