This is the current map showing the incidence of Swine Flu.  I haven't been hearing much about it on the news lately so I was quite surprised to see the huge increase in numbers....almost fivefold.  I don't know what exactly it means, just that I want to keep some sort of tally....just for the record!  So here is today's map along with the like direct to Rhiza Labs should you want more information.

Hey there! I thought this was Wordless Wednesday??!?! Now I am reminded that I need to wash my hands,  avoid lots of places on the planet and be healthy...always a good idea though!

Wow, Gail. Nothing works better than a plain picture. We don't think about the numbers that much, until they are put right in our faces.

It is amazing how the media was so hot and now you hear little about it.  There are cases at OSU so we do hear about those locally.

I hadn't thought about it until I saw your post, but I don't think I have heard anything about swine flu for the past few weeks!  The media must have something else to focus on right now.  Thanks for the visual!

Howdy lady-Wanted to stop in for a minute to say HI. I love the work you put into keeping track of where this flu is. You are so multi-talented and I love your new pic. Just beautiful my friend. I hope you have been doing well. Me, busier and crazier than ever. Miss you and hope you are doing well. Talk to you again. :-)

Gail,

You're right. There's hardly anything about this on the news any more. I hope it doesn't come back to bite us.

Hi Gail ~ I tend to not get freaked out about this kind of thing but those are some very interesting numbers.... Hmmm.  I did catch something on the car radio this afternoon about a local(?) school shutting down for a week because of an unusual number of absences. Very odd with all the hype to begin with and then virtually nothing.  This map will be interesting to watch over time.

LOL @Russell....you are always so nice and amusing and I truly appreciate that.  While you're avoiding things, keep your fingers off your face too ;-)

Hi Joanna...I was quite surprised to see the numbers as high as they are, hmmmm

Maureen....so what's up with that other than more drastic news than this to report???  I'll keep an eye on this ;-)

Hi Lori....exactly my thoughts

Morning Patty P....always a pleasure to see you as we certainly could use a dose of silly in our lives.  I just hope you're doing really well and life is good for you.

Richard....I thinking the same thing.  With all the misinformation and cover-ups, I've just decided to keep a little record on this flu for whatever!

Hi Liz...Yep - just creating a little item for posterity here so we can perhaps gain some perspective later down the road.  Thanks for stopping by :-)

Hey Gail, Like everyone else, I wonder why it's gone so quiet... Old news? Not as deadly as they thought it would be, so not 'exciting' enough for the network news anymore? Thanks for keeping us up to date.

You are so right...there hasn't been much said lately and we shouldn't let our guard down.

Hi Debi....yeah, hope it's not the calm before the storm, especially from what I first read about pandemics starting with a mild spring flu and hammering us in the fall.

Hi BLRGUY...so we just keep taking our vitamins, lots of hand washing, avoiding people who are sick and hope for the best.........I'm open to more ideas :-)
