2009 Texas Folklife Festival: Celebrate Everything Texas!
June 12-14, 2009
The Texas Folklife Festival is coming up soon and I think this is one of the most fun events we celebrate here in San Antonio. While strolling the grounds you may see everything from authentic looking old time western characters, courtesy of The Gunslingers, to German oompah bands, to Flamenco or Chinese dancers. Enjoy food from many cultures as well as cold drinks and beer. To see menu Click Here. With more than 40 different cultural groups in Texas represented, the Texas Folklife Festival is the biggest cultural celebration in Texas. The festival is held on the grounds of the Institute of Texan Cultures on the UTSA HemisFair Park Campus each year. The 3-day event showcases the Lone Star State's diversity and rich heritage through a wide variety of ethnic food, music, dance, arts and crafts.
