Another beautiful statuary Maria! It's not as ornate as the other, but just as beautiful. You are lucky to see this art everyday.
Mary, this one is newer than the other but beautiful in its' own right. Thanks, I feel lucky!
Hi Maria
I guess I"ve missed your other pics. There must be this great statues all over Kansas? That is very cool. Do some of them have water? This one looks like it would make a wonderful fountain.
There are statues throughout the metro KC area. Kansas City is also known as The City of Fountains, having more fountains than any other city in the world with the exception of Rome, Italy.
The statuary you are seeing in this post is actually in the middle of a roundabout in Mission Hills, KS which is located minutes from the Plaza. Mission Hills has homes ranging from the $500,000 up into the millions. The Kansas City Country Club, Mission Hills Country Club and Indian Hills Country Clubs are all located in this area. Luxurious landscaping, large lots, and winding, tree lined streets make this a lovely spot to live in.
Hey, Maria - I've heard there are lots of fountains in Kansas City. It's one of the few cities I haven't been to yet, but I hope to get there soon. My husband is a member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. Their most prestigious president/member is H. Roe Bartle. I believe the Convention Center there is named after him, and he was also a long-time mayor of Kansas City.
Hi Maria,
Great photo of a beautiful fountain. I'm a big fan of water anything!
Right you are, Jim! Let me know when you'll be in town. I'd be happy to show you and your husband around town.
Tony, isn't Concord close to the Atlantic?
